The Anthony Walker Foundation has received funding from the PH Holt Foundation to deliver a service to reduce isolation experienced by hate crime victims during the COVID-19 pandemic. The telephone service allows those who are isolated and feel vulnerable to speak to a member of our team on a regular basis to minimise the impact of social isolation while we adjust to the impact of having to live our lives differently.
Our hate crime support service has remained unaffected by the pandemic with staff being able to work and offer support from home. The service, did however, identify a need to be able to reach out to more people who might need someone to talk to.
PH Holt Foundation recognised the importance and value of this additional service providing funding for the role of an Isolation Reduction Worker who will be working alongside the existing hate crime support service.
If you have experienced hate crime, you can report it and access support by calling texting 07305 164 753 or 07946 123 490, or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
