Hate Crime Awareness Week 2020 – Choose Love and Hope, Not Fear and Hate!
10th until 17th October 2020 marks Hate Crime Awareness Week. Normally packed with events, this year the week will be packed with online seminars and digital engagement.
A few our partners are developing digital events and webinars full of useful advice and guidance. The Anthony Walker Foundation will be hosting a webinar in partnership with Liverpool City Council on 16th October and will be talking about how we support those who experience hate crimes.
All the webinars are free to attend and will allow the opportunity to ask questions. More information about the events are below.
Monday 12th October
Hosted by our colleagues in Merseyside Police, who will give you an insight into how they investigate Hate Crime from a policing perspective.
Tuesday 13th October
Hosted by our colleagues from Onward Housing, who will give you an insight into how RSL’s respond to Hate Crime, investigate reports and support their tenants.
Wednesday 15th October
Liverpool’s High Risk Joint Agency Group Case Conference
Thursday 16th October
Hosted by our colleagues in the Anthony walker Foundation, who will give you an insight into how victims of Hate Crime are supported.
Friday 17th October
Hosted by the Our Liverpool team, who will discuss some of the practical ways we respond to Hate Crime in our communities, and our commitment to ensuring people in the asylum process, refugee’s and vulnerable migrants have access to information.
